This past spring, Land Rover invited me out to Brooklyn, NY to be one of the first to experience the incredible new Defender OCTA! And while I wasn’t allowed to capture images myself, their wonderful team was on site to film for us! (Our is YouTube Video LIVE now)! What is the OCTA? Simply, it’s the most extreme Defender ever and it comes in 2 flavors along with its Diamond inspired toughness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏁 @Alllcarnews Spec sheet: Under the hood is a welcome surprise: A Twin Turbocharged 4.4L V8 with 48v producing 626HP and 553 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through an 8-Speed Gearbox with a 2 speed transferase. It can hit 60MPH in just 3.8 seconds with a 155MPH TopSpeed. 🏁

The OCTA is way more than just wild looks, enhanced interior, luxury, and a potent (German) V8. Under the skin is JLR’s Hydraulically interlinked 6D Suspension with pitch and roll control along with a 1.1inch lift and 2.7inch wider track with optional 33 inch rubber. A new OCTA mode comes with an Off Road Performance focus enabling off road launch control, off road ABS, TracDSC.DSC Off and more.
