Brainstorming art ideas can be hard, so here’s a helping hand. In this video I come up with art ideas for Inktober 2021. The 31st Inktober prompt is “extinct” so here are some ideas to kick-start your creative process. Using a mindmap is a great method of brainstorming drawing ideas.

What is Inktober?

Inktober is an art challenge where you do some art everyday of October using ink media like pens. Each day has a prompt from the official Inktober page. This video’s Inktober inspiration is based on this prompt list but you can find other prompt lists out there since art inspiration is limitless. I do abstract drawing and spray painting on canvas. Art is my favourite hobby and I enjoy looking at the world around me for creative inspiration.

How do I make these videos?
I make thumbnails using Canva (with royalty-free images from Canva, pixabay or unsplash).
I make mindmaps on my ReMarkable 2, using screenshare and screen record on my laptop.
I record audio with Voice Memos on my iPhone.
I put together the video with iMovie.
