As they grow, children begin to master different physical, cognitive, language and personal-social skills critical to their development. While each child is unique and grows at a different pace, here's what most children are able to do by the time they are 44 months old. In case your child does not exhibit many of the skills relevant to their age, you may want to consult a specialist.

Month 44 Development Milestones :-

-Is able to put on most items of clothing by themself, but may need help with jackets and shirts
-Is able to balance on 1 foot for 8-10 seconds
-Is able to sorts objects by function (something you play with, wear, etc.) or size (big/ little) or colour (red/ green / blue)
-Is able to understand and uses "tomorrow" and "yesterday"
-Is able to identify few letters and numbers
-Is able to eat and drink most of the food items that the rest of the family eats
-Is able to express more attachment to one particular friend
-Is able to continually learn and develop social skills by playing with other children in a variety of situations
-Is able to communicate with others without help
-Is able to follow the rules of a game, but may change them sometimes
-Is able to negotiate solutions to a conflict with other children
