Heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has led to massive disruptions, with the Shimla-Sunni-Karsog highway completely blocked near Devidhar due to a landslide.
Commuters and vehicles have been stranded for hours, as restoration work had not yet started at the time of reporting. The blockage has caused long queues and chaos on both sides of the highway, adding to the monsoon woes in the hill state.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for parts of Himachal, warning of more landslides and flash floods in the coming days.
