A 13+ Minute UX Rant Against Asana 2022. What happened?

You wanna make art, make art.

UX shouldn't take second seat to make a few pretentious product designers feel good about how "clean" something looks. It has to be functional. Yes, a clean interface helps functionality to a certain degree...but you can go to far and it be TOO LIMITING.

Hear me out: Digital work is about flow state. Having artificial hard lines (e.g. looking at you "half size and full size options") and making context switching (project board to project board) harder just because you want to make it "look good" is...hate to say it, user hostile.

For the love of productivity freedom, let me decide how to set up my asana. Make it modular ux. Empower me. Don't chain me.
