*****The tone of my bass: My Expert Guitar Luthier attached a used, genuine vintage 1960 Sprague tone capacitor (value = 0,1mdf) to the electronics (and replaced the tiny, factory-issued capacitor) of my Fender Roadworn Jazz Bass so as to create a 60's tone, while I have worked with the knobs on my bass and amp to attain a flat, yet punchy tone with both bass pickup volumes on 9 and the tone on '0'. Bass in this video is a 2012 Fender Jazz Bass Roadworn (purchased at Sam Ash, Phoenix, Arizona) with six year old Ernie Ball slinky flatwound strings and playing through a small Marshall B25 MK II amp with the Bass tone is at 4 o'clock position, and the Midrange knob is at the 12 o'clock position, and the Treble tone at the 1 o'clock position. The 'lollipop tuners' were custom made at my request by Master Luthier, Ben Lindsey of Madison Music in Michigan, USA.
