This Bird was hatched in February 1968 in Lordstown, OH, and spent most of its first 45 years in California. The Steinkamp’s purchased it as the third owner in August of 2013 from actor Bo Svenson. It has a first generation, number matching, 400 CID engine and TH 400 transmission. Options include power steering, power disc brakes, hood tach, rally gauges, remote left hand mirror, deluxe steering wheel, AM/FM radio, power top, and power windows. In 1968, Pontiac made 16,960 Firebird convertibles and roughly 1,600 of them had the 400 cu in engine, making it a true muscle car. The sticker price was $4,505.69. It is a California “Black Plate” car with the original ’68 stickers on the license plate. The owner has refreshed the car with new paint, drivetrain rebuild, new interior, top, glass, and new chrome.
