We continue our worship series In This Way on Sunday, March 3 with In This Way...Ask delivered by Pastor Paul Dean. Jesus hears the news of his good friend Lazarus’s illness and waits to visit him for two days. The assumption/expectation is that Jesus would have rushed to heal his friend. However, Jesus spends two days in prayer… supplication… pleading earnestly and humbling asking for God to move in and through him for God’s purpose… whatever that purpose is. That purpose ends up revealing the glory of God, through Jesus, in a resurrected Lazarus. In this way, may our prayers ask that God’s glory be revealed in our lives and in our world.
