Coach is a Skytrac quad chair, which was installed last summer (in 2024). Replacing the old Coach chair, which was a Yan double and ran in a completely different and shorter allignment, this new Skytrac quad greatly enhanced the beginner experience at Bogus Basin by doubling the capacity of people on each chair (meaning the new lift now sits 4 people per chair vs the old one which only fit 2 people per chair). Additionally, the new lift also goes much higher than the old lift did, allowing the expansion and lenghtening of the Coach's Corner ski run (the main ski run for beginners on the mtn). Coach is a Skytrac 4-person fixed grip quad. It is the primary beginner oriented lift at Bogus Basin and because of that this lift can get long lines during the weekends on peak times. Part of the reason the lift got the capacity upgrade, was too accomodate for the long lines, to (hopefully) speed up the process. It uses all Skytrac parts including towers, sheaves, 53 classic Skytrac chairs, a fixed return station up top, and a Monarch drive terminal at the bottom. This is a perfect lift for beginners and will continue to be so for decades to come.
