What is a FERI Certificate?
Every shipment going to the Democratic Republic of the Congo must have a FERI loading document. For Matadi, Boma, Banana, or any other port, it is necessary. It also goes by the names CTN and BSC.
The officials in charge of customs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo decided to make it a law in 2011. Serious repercussions and a hefty fee will result from failing to produce the FERI certificate.

Required Documents:
▶︎ Transport Document – Draft Bill of Lading, Air-Waybill, or CMR copy can be used for the draft.
▶︎ Commercial Invoice – Incoterm, reference, and date must be mentioned.
▶︎ Freight Invoice: It is necessary if the freight cost isn’t on the commercial invoice.
▶︎ FXI Number – The importer has to provide it (It is not mandatory)
