Many artists splatter paint as a watercolor effect, I tend to use it to create fine details that would be difficult to achieve with a brush. In this video, I look at 10 different ways that I have successfully used splatter to add texture or detail to one of my realistic paintings. I start by showing how to splatter, and share the aspects that are important to think about. In the subsequent examples, I show the different uses I have found, and little hints and tips for getting each to work within a painting.
