🐾 Just off the coast of Tomonoura—a historic port town in Hiroshima with over a thousand years of history—there lies a small island where time seems to move a little more gently.
On this island, cats live naturally alongside people, woven quietly into the rhythm of everyday life.
According to a local resident, there may be around 70 to 80 cats here. Especially near the port, the cats are friendly and relaxed—some would even walk along beside me as I strolled through the island. The hotel I stayed at faced a quiet, nearly private beach. Meals featured the morning’s catch, prepared by the owner's father, who is also a fisherman. Every dish, made with care and the freshest local seafood, offered a taste you could only experience in a place like this. Please enjoy the video until the end.

瀬戸内海の小さな猫島に泊まって過ごしたら、癒されすぎた🐈☘️ | 広島県福山市 / 鞆の浦
広島・鞆の浦（とものうら）の沖にある島——1000年の歴史をもつ港町のすぐ近くにある、猫がたくさん暮らす小さな島。島の方によると、猫の数はおそらく70〜80匹ほど。特に港のあたりの猫ちゃんたちはとっても人懐こくて、移動するたびについてきてくれる子も🐈‍⬛ 泊まった宿は、目の前がほぼ貸切状態のビーチ。食事は、漁師でもある宿のご主人のお父さまが朝に獲ったばかりの地元の海の幸を、お腹いっぱいになるまでいただきました。かわいい猫たちと、美しい自然と宿、そして最高のごはん。心も体もすっかり癒された一泊二日の島旅でした。どうぞお楽しみに🐈
