David Collings (the guy who did Monkey's English-dubbed voice) appeared on RI:SE TV on Tuesday 27 August 2002. This great little Monkey feature was around 6 minutes long, and included a short interview with David Collings.

He talked about how much fun it was to work on Monkey, how he never actually watched it when it went out on BBC2 - he only saw it in the dubbing suite. He says that when he was on the way to the dubbing sessions on the train, just after Monkey first started airing, he'd look out of the window and see schoolchildren all doing impressions of Monkey :)

He then did a few examples of the Monkey voice, and it was still spot-on, even after all these years. Then, they showed some footage from Monkey episode 25 "The Country Of Nightmares", and replaced the close-ups from the show with footage of the RI:SE TV show presenter Colin Murray dressed as Monkey, flying around on his cloud, and David Collings overdubbed it live, there and then!
