INGREDIENTS

Pearl onions - 10-15
Green chillies - 3-4 slit
Curry leaves
Salt as required
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Hing -1/2 tsp
Jaggery - 1 tbsp (can add more for sweetness)
Tamarind juice - 2-3 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Methi seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies -2
Rice flour - 1 tbsp

METHOD

1. Take a vessel heat oil and add the pearl onions. Add green chillies,curry leaves and sauté for 2 min .Then add hing,turmeric powder,Jaggery and water with salt and bring it to a boil.
2. Once the onions are half cooked add tamarind juice and cook till the onions are soft .Make a slurry with rice flour and water and add it to the stew.Cook for another 3-4 min.
3. Make tadka with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, methi seeds and red chillies and add it to the pulusu.Finally add chopped cilantro .
4. Serve hot with rice in combination of any vegetable stir fry is your choice as a side.
