Today, we’ll share what is called L-shaped barrel (90 degree vertical barrel) two-color injection molding.
We are very closed with many kinds of industrial electronic equipment in our daily life, such as electric drill handles, multimeter casings, game controller, etc. this kind of plastic handles are often composed of two parts, which are required for strength and impact resistance, generally composed of hard material such as PA66+GF, ABS, PC+ABS, PC, PBT, PP and other materials, and the outside is often covered with a layer of soft material, such as TPE, TPU and TPA, for the requirements of good hand feeingl, shock resistance, and beautiful appearance, this kind of product is generally finished by 2K injection molding or overmolding.

We’ll share the handle of electric tool which is produced by an 2K injection molding machine of L-shape today.
The L shape 2 shot injection machine parallel is used by BORCHE BM 260T(2 K injection machine parallel dual in L shape) , the injection machine barrel is one barrel in front side of cavity, the other one is in the non-operator direction of cavity, and the two barrels are at a 90-degree vertical angle., which can produce different materials and colors at same time, this type of injection molding machine is not strict on mold size requirements.
And also this machine has a rotating core side, that is 2 molds are fixed on the rotating table behind the injection machine, these two cores are the same which have the ejection system, but the gates are different, after the first shot (usually hard material) is finished, the rotating table of the injection molding machine rotates 180 degrees, and then the second shot (usually soft material) is injected, and then the product come out.
