75 years ago, world leaders gathered in San Francisco, California, to sign the Charter of the United Nations (UN). The UN's mission is to maintain international peace and security. While peacekeeping is still a major focus of the UN, the organization now has an even broader purpose, with duties that include protecting human rights, promoting sustainable development, and delivering aid and relief to those who need it most.

This panel discussion highlights experts as they discuss the UN's mission and work today and what the future of the organization will look like. SIS professor Ken Conca moderates the discussion with these panelists:
