Punta Dufour, Cresta Rey

July 2013 21st. 3:30 am, our first step outside rifugio Gnifetti.
10:30 am, our last troubled breathe on Punta Zumstein.
Punta Dufour, with dark clouds, seemed an enormous cathedral.
Crossing it from Cresta Rey to via normale italiana allowed us to see rocks, snowy slopes, towers, ridges... We couldn't appreciate sunrise. Few colors. No breaks. Maximum attention. Unfortunately we climbed with the constant menace of clouds that were coming down. But finally, after about 7 hours our amazing travel came to an end. Punta Zumstein was like a door which separated the popular overcrowded normal route to Capanna Margherita and the wild Punta Dufour. The end of delicate part of our pilgrimage. The place where we could cry enjoying our experience.
