Are Piranha LEDs All They Are Cracked Up To Be?

In this video I am taking a look at a novel type of LED called - I think - Piranha Superflux LEDs. These specific ones seem to be neutral white and have a forward voltage of roughly 3.1v and a relatively wide beam angle. They are supposedly brighter than standard 5mm LEDs but I have no real way of testing it.
