BARRAGEM DE ALQUEVA, de Moura á Amieira

A Barragem de Alqueva, inaugurada em 2004, está localizada no rio Guadiana, na região do Alentejo, formando uma albufeira que abrange os municípios de Portel, Moura, Reguengos de Monsaraz e Mourão nos distritos de Évora e Beja.
A barragem de Alqueva, foi construída com o objectivo de regadio para toda a zona do Alentejo e produção de energia eléctrica.

The Alqueva Dam, opened in 2004, is located on the Guadiana River, in the Alentejo region, forming a reservoir that covers the municipalities of Portel, Moura and Reguengos de Monsaraz and Mourão in the districts of Évora and Beja.
The Alqueva dam was built with the aim of irrigating the entire Alentejo area and producing electricity.
