MEA LIVE | India-Canada Row | India: "Canada Did Not Provide Security to Our Diplomats"

The official spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Randhir Jaiswal conducted the weekly media briefing today (November 7). While talking about the ongoing India-Canada row and the recent attack on a temple in Brampton, the MEA spokesperson said, "We condemn the attacks on the temple in Brampton and also call upon the Canadian government to uphold the rule of law and bring to justice people who perpetrated the violence, we hope the Canadian government will take due action". When asked about the cancellation of an Indian consular camp in Canada and the reason behind it, MEA spokesperson Jaiswal said that the Indian government had asked for security to be provided for our diplomats where the consular camp was to be held and those were not provided by the Canadian side, due to which the consular camp had to be cancelled.
