Harley Benton makes guitars that have been getting rave reviews over the past few years, in no small part due to YouTubers singing the brand's praises. The variety of models and options they offer at working-class prices makes them hard to ignore.

For all their instruments, it's one of their latest options that's the most exciting - the ST-20HH Active, clearly based on the Jim Root signature Stratocaster from Fender. Classic Strat style? Check. Rock-solid hardtail bridge? Check. ACTIVE PICKUPS IN A BUDGET GUITAR? Double check.
