Ripping Around on my 2020 KTM Freeride E-XC Electric Motorcycle

Had a fun ride on my new 2020 KTM Freeride E-XC! Playing around on some trails and a hillside track. I used Map 3 the whole time and the battery last 1 hour and 3 minutes before the yellow 10% charge remaining light came on. I think the real world run time will be 1~2 hours for most riders. Still really enjoying the electric motorcycle experience of quiet off road riding. Stealth is cool! The motor's instant torque is fun. 0~30 mph is deceptively fast in the full power Map 3 yet the throttle response makes it easy to control. The suspension is woods focused plush and matched well to off road trail riding. Maxxis trials tires get more grip than I expected and the compliant sidewalls give a comfortable feel though tread squirm on hard pack surfaces can be felt. The thin ergonomics and lack of motor inertia give the bike a very light and agile feel when changing directions despite the somewhat heavy 238 lb weight. The Formula brand brakes do not have the usual KTM Brembo power but are work decently and the front seems to have gained some power and feel with a few hours of use.

For me a few things really stand out after a few rides on the Freeride: first is stealth - quiet riding is a new experience. Second is quickness: deceptively fast from 0~30 mph. The third is agility: feels light in motion and changes directions quickly and easily.
