Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is my childhood. It all started when I first heard the opening theme song "Go Go Power Rangers", singing my heart out because it was so powerful and it reflected how inspiring the rangers were to me. A team of teenagers who fought to save the world from evil. It was relatable, to feel as a child that I, too, could make a difference.

I remained watching many of the later incarnations for many years until my early teens and quite enjoyed them, but it all started with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The tapping part of the beginning may be one of the many inspirations I had to pick up the guitar. So today I make history in my life by finally not only learning that part, but recording my own version of the complete song. Rock on!

P.S. The pink ranger Kimberly will always be one of my childhood crushes.

Jason David Frank, best known as Tommy Oliver, the Green and White Ranger. He unfortunately passed away 2 months after posting this video. Arguably the best ranger of all time, I'm saddened to hear that now two of the original rangers are gone. I will dedicate this cover to him, for all that he did to keep this franchise alive over the years.

I remember when I was 8 years old, two years after my childhood best friend had left the school we went together. That year, he came back to my classroom briefly, only to give me an action figure of the Dino Thunder Black Ranger that Tommy Oliver also wore. That ranger was always special because it was a memento of that friend I never saw again. It's sad that Jason is gone, but I'm thankful for all the memories growing up that still mean a lot to me today. Thank you and rest in peace. 11/20/2022
