Biking Washington: Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail -- the Longest Rail Trail Tunnel in US!

Ride with us through the thrilling Snoqualmie Tunnel in Washington! It’s the longest rail trail tunnel in the US – coming in at 2.3 miles or 11,890 feet. What you’ll be able to see in the tunnel will depend on the power of your bike light (need as many lumens as you can get). You find it on the longest rail trail in the United States – the western segment of the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail (formerly the John Wayne Pioneer Trail). The tunnel is in the Cascades Mountains near Seattle, Washington. Saddle up while we take the 16 mile ride from Lake Easton to Hyak. This ride took place on September 4, 2023.
