When you see the words "Marvin Williams 21 Points", the first thing that comes to your mind should be "7 threes". Anyone with any amount of experience with W-Marv will know that his preferred method of scoring is by shooting-threes, and that that's the only way he can reliably score in the first place.

You will be shocked to find out that, in this game, he only went 2-of-3 from deep, instead augmenting his scoring with a sick and unexpected 7-of-7 from two-point range. I didn't know he had it in him, honestly. Maybe he had it in him earlier in his career, but recently? No way.

The Bulls thought they could get away with putting Coby White, then Zach LaVine, on him. They thought he would float harmlessly around the three-point line, presenting no interior threat. They thought that he would not be able to punished those undersized defenders. They thought wrong, almost to their demise. Williams didn't exactly carry the Hornets, but his 21 points were an unexpected boon.

It's good to see him have another good game. I ignored his 17-point performance in the season opener, but I don't think I realized how old he's gotten and how unlikely it is for him to keep up what he's been doing the last few years. This is his 15th year in the league, can you believe that? Only 33 years old, but that's a lot of mileage.
