Heavy rains in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur created a 2km-long crater that made a temporary waterfall earlier this week.

Fields in the area were submerged after a nearby dam overflowed following heavy rains.

The crater was formed after a large portion of farmland caved in, causing water from surrounding fields to rush into the depression. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Many other villages in the region were also inundated, leading to evacuations and food and water shortages.
