At the 57th UN HUman Rights Council session in Geneva, PEARL organized a panel event where its latest report "Justice for Genocide: Sri Lanka’s Responsibility for Genocide against the Tamil People in 2009" was released. Additionally, leading activists and human rights defenders from the North-East of Sri Lanka were speaking at the panel on the ongoing human rights violations and the need for international accountability mechanisms in Sri Lanka.
