Diddy Trial begins with EXPLOSIVE opening statements laying out the allegations against Sean Combs. Lawyers on both sides of Sean "Diddy" Combs' sweeping trial delivered their opening statements, and jurors heard from the first witnesses in the case who testified about incidents stretching over years. Prosecutors said during her opening statement "They will tell you about some of the most painful experiences of their lives."

As prosecutors lay out their accusations against Combs, they called their first witness in, Israel Florez, a former security officer at the Los Angeles hotel where video captured the music mogul appearing to strike Cassie Ventura or Venture FIne. Florez, now a Los Angeles law officer, testified that he received a call from a woman on the sixth floor of the hotel on the night of the 2016 incident who was in distress after encountering Combs.
