This recent symposium, co-hosted by Athena and the Colnaghi Foundation, featured scholars from Latin America, Brazil, North America and Europe, with talks on objects from the 16th - 19th centuries ranging from silverwork, panel painting and featherwork to polychrome sculpture and prints. It also included talks on the history of collecting and the first exhibition of pan-American art which took place in Montreal in 1967.
