Barbados Cost of Living | Rent, Utilities, Taxes, NIS Contribution | Life in Barbados

I wanted to share a little more about the cost of living in Barbados by sharing a little bit about taxes, the National Insurance Contribution (Barbados has free national healthcare) and how much my essential costs are (rent, utilities, bills). This is wholly from my experience, but hopefully it gives you a little insight regarding the cost of living here.

I also forgot to mention, because I'm in the over $50k/year bracket, the government allows a $25000 personal allowance that I believe they do not charge tax on. I also receive a few additional personal allowances from work that are not highly taxed as well. Also, after making this video I read on the site linked below that the income tax rate was adjusted this year for persons who make over $50k a year from 33.5% to 28.5%.
