Filia Medici is the main protagonist in Skullgirls, along with other characters such as Marie, Painwheel, Valentine, Double, Parasoul, and Peacock who possess major roles than Filia herself. She is the daughter of Amelia and Marcus, making her Lorenzo's grandaughter and Vitale's Niece. She was once a normal schoolgirl, until one night, her hair was possessed by the parasite named Samson, resulting in amnesia. She is seen as a kind girl who cared about her parents and Carol that much and later Befriends Samson after the parasite helped her protect her family from Marie and Vitale.

Skullgirls is a 2D fighting game developed by Reverge Labs and published by Autumn Games that was released on 2012. This game engages in 1-on-1, 2v2, or 3v3 combat, it features 8 playable characters, and 5 DLC characters, along with 4 more DLC characters in 2021-2022. Before the game announcement, a Crowdfunding Campaign was Published for the Public, It was a huge success making the game fully developed and Playable. The game was a mass success, leaving positive ratings for Critics and Fans. Then later on develop more titles like Skullgirls Encore, 2nd Encore, and the spin-off title, Skullgirls Mobile.
