But you know what the crazy thing is I'm actually able to load all of this up all by myself because of our cool kit components, and if you have a truck, you can do it too. So what we have today is our Malone cross bed truck rails, plus our Malone axis load extender. So I have a short bed F-150, but that doesn't stop me from loading up the truck bed and loading up the canoe. I love extreme adventures. And this right here is an extreme example of how we can use this. Maybe you don't need all of the components.

Maybe you're carrying stuff inside your truck bed and you just need the load extender. Maybe you have a shorter kayak and you only need the truck bed rails. That's totally fine. Malone has this all set up where everything is mixed and matchable. Now it's not quite as intuitive out of the box because there are a lot of different adjustment points to really get that custom fit for you.

But because of that, technically, you can carry almost anything with this kit. So in this video, I'm gonna guide you through the different parts of our kit here, and that way, you can figure out what you may need to think about to get your boat on the road. We have our Malone cross bed truck rails, which by the way, is available on its own here at etrailer, if this is all that you need. I currently have the bunks attached on top simply 'cause that's the best way to carry around the kayak or a canoe supporting it, but also making it easier to load. But you can load pretty much anything on this rack that you might load onto a roof rack.

So think bikes or a rooftop tent, you have a 500 pound capacity to work with. The bars will secure to your truck, using these truck bed clamps to secure on the sides. If you have, let's say a Toyota truck or a Tonneau cover, things like that, there are different adapters available for the system. Then you can find that here at etrailer. So after thinking about if this will fit your truck and your truck bed, you then have to think about, will this fit your cargo and your accessories. You have these really strong heavy duty crossbars, but they are gonna be on the larger side. So double check those specs to make sure if you have things that clamp around or strap around, they are going to fit. Now you also have this top channel, which can be used for a bunch of different accessories, very similar to a regular roof rack channel. On the side, you also have a channel, and this will be used with your Malone accessories that may mount this way. Included with your kit are gonna be some load stops that you can install there, as well as some rubber strips. So depending on, let's say you're carrying around the ladder, you can use the load stops. If you're carrying around something like a kayak without using the bunks, then using those rubber strips, just make sure that you give a little grip and keep things a little bit more secure. When you have a larger kayak or canoe, you may need the load extender. This is in the configuration that works with our bed rails, so we have it extended out so that we're still able to open up our tailgate, but we also have this extended up to match our bed rail height, and that gives us this really good support all around. Now our kayak here today sits a little bit past our extender, so it's a good thing that Malone gives us a nice, red safety flag as we're on the road. But with those three points of contact, we now have a really secure fit of our canoe. This is hatches to your two inch hitch receivers. It comes with a hitch pin and a clip, and it technically comes with an anti-rattle clamp, but today we're using our etrailer anti-rattle collar since it was already on our truck. This arrives in four different pieces, and that's because you can switch things around. For example, if you wanted to use this on an SUV and you wanted it to go up to reach your roof, then instead of going out, you just switch these components around and it'll go from out to up. And they're secured with these pins and clips, as well as these bolts that create that anti-rattle experience between your different parts. As you secure some of the pins, you'll have the option to adjust up and down, to match the height of your roof or your truck bed or your truck bed rails.
