I’m excited to share a new project I’ve been working on.

It’s a desktop app for Windows that lets you create tasks using your voice with a simple keyboard shortcut.
At first, it might sound basic — but it solves a real, everyday problem.
Imagine this:

You’re scrolling LinkedIn and suddenly remember you need to upload an assignment in two hours.
You’re watching a show and learn a new word and want to save it quickly.
You’ve been working for hours and forget to drink water.

In these moments, switching apps to write a note or set a reminder often means you forget altogether.

With this app, you just:
Press Alt + K
Speak your task
Keep doing what you were doing
That’s it.

Examples:
“Remind me in one hour to upload my database assignment.”
“Drink water.”

“I learned a new word: supercalifragilisticexpialidocious — meaning extremely good.”

The app saves the task instantly and reminds you with desktop notifications and voice alerts, repeating until you acknowledge it.

Why I built this

Most voice assistants don’t work well on Windows:
Google Assistant isn’t officially supported
Copilot no longer supports voice tasks
Siri and Alexa don’t work on Windows
Notion and Todoist voice features need internet access
I wanted something that works offline, stays local, and doesn’t interrupt my workflow.
So I built it.

How it works
Press Alt + K anywhere on Windows
Speak your task or note
The task is saved locally
You get voice and desktop reminders
Press the hotkey again to exit

Runs in the system tray
No app switching
Fully offline
Local storage (no cloud)
Voice + desktop reminders
Task categories (normal, priority, notes)
Simple keyword detection like “urgent” or “important”

It’s a small idea, but it solves a problem I personally faced.
