Phuket Today's Isaac Simonelli talks to Ric O'Barry of Project Dolphin about the dolphinarium planned for Phuket.

Ric, perhaps best known for his work training the dolphins for the TV show "Flipper" has since become an activist fighting to end dolphin captivity and was most recently seen in the Oscar-winning documentary "The Cove" - which detailed the horrific dolphin hunting practices at Taiji Cove in Japan, where many dolphins in captivity are captured.

The Nemo dolphinarium currently under construction near Phuket Zoo in Chalong has received widespread criticism from activist groups, including the Sea Shepherd conservation group which is spearheading its protest with a petition, available here - https://www.change.org/p/phuket-touri...
