In this talk, I set forth that the future is better than we often think, despite the recent events that may challenge this outlook. As a futurist, my role is not to predict, but to observe and to help my audiences prepare for what lies ahead. In this talk, I discuss my film 'Twice Upon a Time' www.twiceuponatime.tv which presents two scenarios for 2030—one dystopian and one utopian—and highlights significant advances like AI, green economy growth, and slowing down global warming with technology and better policies. While technology provides amazing tools, it is neutral and must be guided by what I call TELOS i.e. human purpose and ethics to be used for good goals.
