The End of the Embargo ? The US has removed Cuba from One of the Two Pariah Lists!

On May 16, 2024, the U.S. removed Cuba from list of countries
not cooperating fully’ with anti-terrorism
efforts
. The first of the 2 lists on which Cuba was listed. Cuba remains on a separate, more important list of state sponsors of terrorism — also kept by the State Department — since the Trump administration included it in 2021. Is it a first step towards the normalisation of the relationship between the 2 countries ? Some Cuban-American members of congress believe it looks like it and are strongly fighting it. Once Cuban has been removed from the second list it could be the end of the 62 year long embarge imposed by the US on Cuba. Obviously the impact of this event will be big on the Cuban cigar market and its aficionados with an official opening of the largest premium cigar market in the world. It would certainly increase demand for a product that is already in limited supply and the effect will certainly mean another price increase but where can the price go up to?

This video is not a political video its purpose is to envisage the possibility of the end of the embargo and its impact on the Cuban cigar market.
