In a major step toward digital transformation, the PNG Parliament has passed amendments to six key land-related legislations. Deputy Prime Minister and Lands Minister, Hon. John Rosso, announced that these reforms will enable land services to operate electronically, modernizing outdated systems and improving service delivery.

The amended laws include:
✔ Land Act 1996
✔ Physical Planning Act 1989
✔ Survey Act 1969
✔ Survey Coordination Act 1967
✔ Land Registration Act 1981
✔ Valuation Act 1967

A total of 61 Members of Parliament voted in support of these changes, setting the pace for modern, transparent, and efficient land administration in Papua New Guinea.
