I needed a new office chair and didn’t have $1,000 for a Steelcase chair so I headed downmarket. As I researched and read reviews this chair popped up and seemed decent. I made the purchase and put it together this morning. I read a couple of reviews that stated it was hard to put together and took about an hour. Well, I hit my stopwatch when I started and looked at it when I was done. One hour and forty-six minutes.

From that, you would be correct to assume that I score below-average in the “putting things together” space. I laid everything out then went to work. The first problem was getting the screws to the hinges to screw into the bottom of the chair. I spent twenty minutes on one screw. Imagine me with a headlamp on and sweat pouring off me trying patiently not to throw the chair across the room. The next problem was realizing I had attached the hinges upside down. Perfect! After I got that corrected it was moderately smooth sailing for the rest.
