Using a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis i show you the location of the Fuel Pump Relay. I am changing this relay to address a problem with the engine with starting and a p0231 code being set. This code is the result of the pcm not detecting power in the Fuel Pump circuit after commanding the fuel pump relay on. Most common culprit with this code is a failed relay, although an open in the feedback circuit to the pcm can be the cause as well (especially if the Fuel Pump is running at the time the code is set).
