It feels great to be back outdoors once again.

Been awhile since I've been out camping. This trip was a relaxing 3 day trip where I cooked up some delicious meals, made some useful camp items, and enjoyed the great Canadian wilderness.

Where was this filmed?
Northern Alberta, Canada

What do I film with?
I use an iPhone 6 mounted on a tripod. I only use this one camera and move it around to get different shots and angles.

What was the temperature on this trip?
The temperature was actually quite good all trip long. During the day it was around 15 degrees Celsius, and at night it got down to 5 degrees Celsius.

What did my bedroll include?
One queen sized 100% wool blanket and a thin foam sleep pad for insulation.

Are there any dangerous animals there?
Yes. Where I camped in this video there are black bears, grizzly bears, cougars, and wolves.

How do I protect myself from these dangerous animals?
I carry bear spray.

What kind of tarp am I using?
Homemade waxed cloth tarp. Here's a link to the video of how I made it:

What was I drinking on this trip?
River water and green tea.

What were my meals for this trip?
Day 1- Supper: Chicken legs and rice
Day 2 - Breakfast: Bacon and eggs
Supper: Steak and boiled potatoes
Day 3 - Breakfast: Pan bread with raspberry jam

What tools am I using?
Knife: Helle Sigmund
Hatchet: Marbles 700DB
Saw: Bahco 21" peg tooth saw blade on a wood frame I made myself
Folding pocket knife: Rough Rider Doctors Knife

What cook set am I using?
Tea kettle: Woods Nootka Kettle
Pot & Pan: Brand unknown. I've had this pot and pan set for many years and never used it until this trip. It worked quite well and is a nice minimalist cook set.

Why did I change my backpack?
I need to make a better strap system for my wood frame pack. I need to make something that has adjustable straps so I can make the wood frame sit better while I'm carrying different pack weights.

What kind of pants am I wearing?
Waxed cotton pants. I am going to make a video on them soon, so stay tuned.

What am I smoking in my pipe?
Samuel Gawith Navy Flake (pre-rubbed at home).
