How many remember Akoo Clothing? During the height of the southern rap boom, one of the biggest rappers from Atlanta decided to toss his hat in the clothing line business.

At one point, AKOO Clothing was everywhere — in music videos, on red carpets, and in hip-hop magazines on shelves across America. Wanting to set itself apart from the slew of other rap fashion, the brand promised to be more than just merch... it was supposed to be a legit fashion line, based off more than just tee shirts and hoodies.

During their golden era, TI was the self proclaimed king of the south and putting out work that backed up the claim. His hype was global, so releasing his own clothing line was a no brainier.

Akoo was a step above most of the run of the mill rap brands, admittedly. They honestly tried harder . But at the end of the day, they not only are no longer around much today, but they never really caught on, at all.
