I've been challenging myself to draw and paint more trees lately. If you follow me on my other platforms, you may have seen my recent sketchbook spread where I examined the roots and grooves of trees and branches. There's a lot of detail to capture on such a small surface, but at the moment I'm focusing on capturing the essence over the reality!

Usually I'm not one to paint in a dark storm, but the itch to paint was there and any creative person will know you HAVE to take advantage of that itch when it strikes! Besides, listening to the heavy rain with an open window was very peaceful :)
