Identification of proton environments and Low Resolution HNMR of isomers propan-1-ol & propan-2-ol

Описание к видео Identification of proton environments and Low Resolution HNMR of isomers propan-1-ol & propan-2-ol

In this video we learn how to identification of proton environments and Low Resolution HNMR of isomers propan-1-ol & propan-2-ol.

Proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (proton NMR or 1H NMR) can give information about:

1. the different chemical environments of hydrogen atoms (protons or 1H) in an organic molecule
2. and about how many hydrogen atoms there are in each of these environments.

Low resolution spectra tells us less detail than high resolution spectacular (see next video)

1. The number of peaks (lines) tells us how many proton environments there are.

2. The height of the peaks are proportionate the the number of hydrogens (protons) found in that environment.

3. The chemical shift tells us what type of environment the hydrogens are found in and a spectra can be drawn
