In this lesson, we shall continue focus more on finding the maximum Directional Derivative of a function at a point.


From the previous lesson, we got to understand that, the directional derivative of a function can be expressed as:
Duf(x,y) = fx a + fy b.

This can further be expressed as:
Duf(x,y) = (fx,fy).(a,b), ie the dot product of the gradient of the function and the unit vector.

We shall solve some more examples on this.
