I Built an Ice Rink in My Backyard So I Can Learn to Play Hockey

I have always wanted to build a ice rink in my backyard. Well I finally got around to making it happen, and its been an absolute blast. I finally have something awesome to do in the winter that will keep me and the family active. In this video, I'm going to show you exactly how I did it, and give some pointers along the way. Below I have also added where I got some of my supplies. I hope this inspires some of you to get outside, and learn something new. Building an outdoor rink is awesome!

As always, check your local classifieds for something used and in good condition like I did. I was really surprised to find this rink for a very reasonable price. More than half what it would have cost new. Join the Backyard Ice Rink page on Facebook, and people post rinks for sale there as well. If you want to build your rink boards and supports out of wood, there are tons of other YouTube videos out there that can explain how to do it.
