4 Watercolor Techniques | TIPS FOR ART TEACHERS

Introduce these simple varieties of watercolor techniques to your classroom of students of any grade level, and let them experience first hand all the fun ways they can use watercolor!

I’ve done hundreds of watercolor projects over the years and my favorites always have one of more of the following techniques:
- Waterproof marker as a precise drawing
- Non-water soluble oil pastel or waxy crayon to act as a resist
- Wet-on-wet techniques for color blending
- Slating for a magical touch

For this week’s video, I walk you through each of these four watercolor techniques while drawing and painting a fun fall leaf project.
