Repeat Expansions

Описание к видео Repeat Expansions

Each gene is made up of letters. The letters are either, A, T, G, or C. Those letters are called “nucleotides.” Our body reads these letters in groups of three to make proteins. Some of our genes have the same letters repeated multiple times. When there is a difference in the number of these repeats, it can be associated with genetic conditions/syndromes such as Fragile X syndrome or Huntington disease. This video reviews this concept in more detail.
