Grief doesn't go away, it only changes. Love doesn't go away, it only changes. These songs are forms of grief and love continued. They are the real and impossible consequence of living, loving, and losing. Pain changed into sound, love changed into sound. I lived this everyday. Waking up, breathing, brushing teeth, eating, doing dishes, working odd sound jobs. In between it all I would record these moments. I’d go down into the basement to grieve and let signal flow. These aren’t some objects I’m dumping into the pile of consumption. This is “me”. My love, my fear, my grief, my questions, my life.

Grateful for Grandpa Corny, Grandma Lucy, Mom, Dad, Emma, Evan, Matt Holmes, Mike Byrne, Chloe, and Bean. You all have given me so much in so many different ways. Love, hope, and joy.
