Ovarian rejuvenation is a new procedure that utilizes platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to help restore fertility and stimulate natural hormonal production in some women who are unable to conceive because of low egg reserve.

Who are ideal candidates for ovarian regeneration with PRP?

1.Infertile women, who are over the age of 35 years, having low egg reserve and low AntiMullerian Hormone levels (AMH)
2.Menopausal or perimenopausal women under the age of 50 years
3.Women under the age of 35 years, who have low egg reserve and low AntiMullerian Hormone levels
4.Women with premature ovarian failure (POF).

How does this treatment work?

PRP, when injected in ovary can stimulate new cellular growth in an attempt to restore fertility and ovarian hormone production and increase the quality of eggs. There is evidence indicating that stem cells, found in the ovaries, can be induced to morph into new eggs and hormone producing cells by the injection of the patient’s own Platelet Rich Plasma into the ovaries.

What can be the response?

Thorough evaluation is necessary to confirm if a patient is a good candidate for this treatment.

Patients will typically see positive results within 6-12 weeks after the ovarian rejuvenation procedure. We are having infertile patients who started spontaneous ovulation and even spontaneous pregnancy( without any IVF treatment)!

In majority of PRP patients, we start IVF treatment after 6-8 weeks.

However, not all patients will see results; while we carefully selects patients for this procedure, everyone is different and will respond differently to treatment.
