His administration recently sanctioned a network accused of hiring former Colombian military personnel to fight for the RSF, which the US accuses of genocide. A recent peace plan proposed by the US, UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia was rejected by the Sudanese Army chief, who cited the UAE's alleged funding and arming of the RSF.
